About Us
Black Funding Network is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee. Built on the ethos of a giving circle, BFN harnesses thoughtful and intentional giving to help changemakers serving Britain’s Black community. We are building a bridge between grassroots giving and institutional philanthropy, connecting community organisations to the vast, complex philanthropy ecosystem.
A key part of BFN’s mission is to help connect inspiring non-profit organisations serving Britain’s Black community to the philanthropic resources that do exist in wider society but that they do not always know are available. We will offer a roadmap to funders and provide sources of support in terms of professional advice, to create sustainable and well governed organisations.
Our goal is to inspire, connect and strengthen African and Caribbean heritage people in Britain and those who want to support them by leveraging our collective resources to create the ecosystem change we all want to see.
